Physics I is designed to cover the material specified by the Fairfax County Public Schools' Program of Studies(POS) for High School Science and Virginia's Standards of Learning(SOL) for Physics. There is not a Physics SOL exam required for graduating high school, but the areas emphasized within the state and county guidelines are universal to all scientists and are important in building a foundation for further study in physics and other sciences.

This is the introductory letter sent home on the second week of school, covering grades, materials you need to have for class, late policies, and everything else - [Microsoft Word File]

If you're ever curious about how something works or unsure of anything you read about, feel free to E-MAIL ME or write it down so you can ask me about it in class. You can always return to this page if you need to look at the class syllabus or handouts I've developed for this class.
